James Madison Richardson of Wayne
James Madison Richardson, Jr. 79, of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He was born May 26, 1932, at Wayne, a son of the late James Madison and Clara Fry Richardson. He was also an Army combat veteran of the Korean War. Following his service in the US Army, he enlisted in the US Air Force where he continued his education in the field of electronics which lead to his career at North American/Rockwell in Columbus, Ohio where he personally worked on antennas which were used in the Apollo Space Program.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Richardson, Earl J. Richardson and Goble G. Richardson, and two sisters, Violet Fryer and Nellie Thompson.
Survivors include his dedicated and loving wife of 48 years, Anna Mae Stephens Richardson; three daughters, Joann Wallace of Huntington, WV; Vanessa Butcher and her husband Brian of Huntington, WV; and Lisa Richardson Morgan and husband Patrick of Ashton, WV; one son, James Madison Richardson, III and his wife Tina of Gloucester, VA; one brother, Jackie Paul and wife Barbara of North Ridgeville, Ohio; and one sister Estelle Howard of Detroit, Mich. He was a loving papaw to eight grandchildren, Ronald Rowe, Jr., Erica Rowe and Hannah Butcher; James Wallace and Lacie Wallace; Tempest Richardson; and Ayla Edwards and Noah Morgan; two great grandchildren, Roderik Rowe and Mikaly Madison Rowe and many loving nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens with military graveside honors. Friends may call after 6 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
James was a loving husband and father. He lived his life with honor and faith as a testament to his solid trust in the Lord and love for his family.
