Shirley Ann Thompson of Genoa
Shirley Ann Thompson, 71, of Genoa, WV, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 1, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted 2:00 pm Friday, January 4, 2012 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Brothers Tommy Kitts and Charlie Marcum. Burial followed at Young-Thompson Cemetery, Genoa, WV. She was born September 23, 1941 in Wooster, OH, a daughter of the late Herman and Erma Snyder Young. Shirley was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very giving and loving woman who loved her family unconditionally. Her husband, Pearly Thompson also preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Janice Thompson, Mary Marcum and husband, Kenny all of Fort Gay, WV, Linda Riggs and husband, Daryl of Genoa, WV, Pearline Shepard and husband, Larry of Prichard, WV; a son Emery Thompson and wife, Wanda of Fort Gay, WV; grandchildren, Emery Allen (Melissa) Thompson, Rachel (Luke) Stull, Sueann (Dewey) Maynard, Richard (Liz) Thompson, Billy Joe Estepp, Michael Napier, Jonathan Napier, Jeremy Marcum, Brian Marcum, Angel Marcum, Julie Dennis, James Dennis, Katie (Adam) Frazier, Gabrielle, Samantha, Heavenly, Paislyn, Anthony, Tylor, Daryl Jr., Camron and Noah Riggs, Kasey Napier, John Shepard, Tristan Shepard; great-grandchildren, Kirsten Thompson, Brynn Thompson, Chase Thompson, Caleb Thompson, Josh Stull, Devin Stull, Blake Stull, Hailee Maynard, Ashton Maynard, Jake Thompson, Jennifer Thompson, Richard Allen Thompson, Jr., and a very special great-granddaughter, Isabella Rose. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Morris Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the Oncology Staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
