Annabelle Michael Rayburn of Kenova

Annabelle Michael Rayburn, 89, of Kenova, WV passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center in Ashland, KY. She was born September 18, 1921 in Wayne County, WV a daughter of the late Denver and Ethel Thompson Michael. Annabelle was an LPN and retired from Huntington Hospital after many years in the healthcare industry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John Roy Rayburn, an infant sister, Bertha Michael; four brothers, Donald Fred Michael, William Michael, John Michael and Jack Roy Michael. She is survived by her beloved husband, James W. “Woody” Rayburn; one son and daughter-in-law Larry D. and Nancy Rayburn of Ft. Thomas, KY; six grandchildren, Debbie Moore, John Roy Rayburn, Jr. and his wife, Ann, Deidre Farley and her husband Scott, Scott Rayburn and his wife, Kim, Melissa Hunt and her husband, Joe and Denver Rayburn; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Rayburn of Kenova; a sister and brother-in-law Frances and Harold “Had” Dale of Kenova, one brother and four sisters-in-law, Oscar and Ethel Michael of Prichard, WV; Opal Michael of Columbus, OH, Mildred Michael of Prichard and Janice Michael of Huntington, WV; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff and doctors at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center for their loving care of Annabelle. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Kenova United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. Lindsay Thorp officiating. Burial will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Kenova United Methodist Church at 503 15th St. Kenova, WV 25530.
