Gazle "Shorty" Puskas, Jr. of Wayne
Mr. Gazle “Shorty” Puskas, Jr., 70, of Wayne, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was born April 10, 1941 in Logan County, West Virginia, a son of the late Gazle and Alberta Puskas. Four brothers, Carson Puskas, Jerry Puskas, Ronnie Puskas and Rick Puskas also preceded him in death, along with one great-granddaughter, Lillie Jorgenson.
Gazle was retired from the Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District and was a Deacon at Steele Memorial Freewill Baptist Church, East Lynn.
He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Virginia Puskas; one daughter, Angela Forth and husband Russell of Huntington, W.Va.; two sons, Rob Puskas and wife Doodle of Mooresville, N.C., and David Scott Puskas and wife Shellie of Russell, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Justin, Sara, Raleigh, Brittani, Tabitha, Nikki, Wendi, and Branden; and three great-grandchildren, Bradrik, James, and Caylee.
Also surviving are four brothers, Earl Puskas and his wife Elaine of Huntington, Donald Gene Puskas and his wife Ruthie of East Lynn, W.Va., Lonnie Puskas, also of East Lynn, and Mack Puskas and his wife Clara of Welaka, Fla.; and three sisters, Pearl Fry of Missouri, Violet Ross and her husband Carly of Decator, Il., and Leona Mae Muncy of Shelby, Oh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck McCormick and Pastor Jerry Casteele officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. Friends called after 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
