Kenneth Ralph Adkins of Homosassa Springs, Fla.
Kenneth Ralph Adkins, 56, of Homosassa Springs Fla., passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at his home. He was born January 7, 1957 in Boone County, West Virginia, a son of the late Andrew Jackson Maynard and Anna Faye Adkins Maynard. His grandparents, Roscoe and Hattie Adkins also preceded him in death along with infant brother, Andrew Maynard; stepfather Leonard Maynard; aunts Eva Ferguson, Minnie Williamson, Winona Bradley; uncles Arthur Adkins and Jim Hale; cousins Von Adkins, Larry Williamson, Kathy K, Williamson, Carrol Salmons, and Patricia Gilbert; two nephews, Trevon Elkins and Charles Brandon Ray Stamper; and great nephew Logan Collins
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth M. Adkins of Homosassa Springs, Jeremy Adkins, and Joshua Adkins, both of Prichard, W.Va.; one brother, James Ronnie Maynard and his wife Enemercy of Williamston, S.C.; two sisters, Joan Eva Mae Fairchild of Crum, W.Va., and Joyce Ann Meade and husband John “Dog” of Dunlow, W.Va.; half-sister Myrtle Jane Estep, also of Williamston; five nieces, Carreann Maynard of Riverview, Fla., Abralee Maynard of Russell, Ky., Jennifer Orta of Obetz, Oh., Breanna Maynard of Crossville, Tenn., and Brittany Collins of Crum; one nephew, Joshua Elkins of Dunlow; cousins Doris Bradley and David Hale; one aunt Edith Hale; special friend Denise Richardson, and ex-wife Brenda Hunley of Prichard, W.Va.; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, friends and family. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Dunlow Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Greasy Ridge Cemetery, Dunlow, W.Va.
