Cecil Jackson of Huntington

Cecil Jackson, 88, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord February 14, 2013 at the VA Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 18, 2010 at Rollins Funeral Home with Brother Eugene Byrd and Brother Mike Brown officiating. Interment followed in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Greenup County, Kentucky with the American Legion Post #93 Honor Guard conducting graveside rites. Cecil was born February 29, 1924 in Genoa, a son of the late Oscar and Matilda Robinson Jackson. He was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army and he was a member of the Gospel Freewill Baptist Temple Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Katherine Jackson and his second wife Aldine Jackson and one brother Burnie Robinson. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law Jean (Mike) Brown of Logan, WV. ; one stepdaughter Linda Smith of Kenova, WV.; one brother Charles Kimbler of Indiana; one very special niece Cathy Robinson, two nephews Johnny and Billy Robinson, and wife Becky Robinson who were his caretakers; Richard Robinson, Danny Robinson, Janice Lenoard, Louisa Pinson and many other nieces and nephews; two grandchildren and a host of other loved ones and family to numerous to mention.
