Barbara Damron of Genoa
Barbara Damron, 63, of Genoa, WV, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV, by Brother Wilmer Napier and Brother Tom Kitts. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Peaceful Gardens Cemetery at Genoa. She was born January 7, 1948 at Genoa, WV, a daughter of Clarence “Shorty” Robertson of Genoa and the late Elizabeth Marie Wilson Robertson. Barbara was a retired teachers’ aide for Wayne County Schools and was a member of the Rush Branch Church. Three brothers, Jimmy, Roger, and Lowell Robertson also preceded her in death. Survivors include her loving husband, Ivory Lee Damron; a daughter, Melissa Thompson and husband, Kenneth of Genoa, WV; a son, Ivory Lee Damron, Jr. and wife, Charity, of Genoa, WV; five grandchildren, Marinda Faye Damron, Rhonda Leann Damron, Benjamen Rowe, Ashley Nicole Hundley and Colton Ray Hundley; two sisters, Sandra Kay Branham and her companion, James Watts, and Bonnie Perry and husband, Claude, all of Genoa, WV; and a sister-in-law, Loretta Smith and husband, Kenny of Wayne, WV.
