Henry "Harry" S. Lambert of Kenova
Henry “Harry” S. Lambert Jr., 86, of Kenova, W.Va., died May 4, 2011. He was a born again Christian. Harry was the son of the late H.S. Lambert Sr. and Ellen Fry Lambert. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lucy Ellen Lambert Wright. Harry was a 1942 graduate of C-K High School and a 1949 graduate of Marshall University. He was a retired employee of Ashland Oil from their No. 1 refinery with 30 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 15th Army Air Force as an aerial gunner, who attained the rank of staff sergeant. Harry received the European-African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon with eight battle stars, the Purple Heart and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Good Lambert; two daughters, Joan “Jody” Lambert of Georgetown, Ky., and Sammie Lambert of Louisville, Ky. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 93 Kenova, whose Honor Guard conducted military graveside rites. Private family services were conducted with Rev. Ray Stephens officiating.
