Oshel Chaney of East Lynn

Oshel Chaney, 60, of East Lynn, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012. He was born July 25, 1951 in West Hamlin, W.Va., and honorable served our country in the U.S. Army. Oshel was a proud member of the NRA and strong supporter of our U. S. Constitution, especially the 2nd Amendment. His mother, Armanda Vance Chaney preceded him in death. Survivors include his father, Newman Chaney of East Lynn; one son, Josh Chaney of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; one daughter Alisa Stephens of Morrisville, Ohio; and three granddaughters, Katlyn, Sabrina, and Cassedy Stephens, all at home in Morrisville. Also surviving are two brothers, Merle Chaney of Branchland, W.Va., and Elisha Chaney of East Lynn; and a host of family too numerous to mention. Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, W.Va., with Military graveside honors performed by VFW Post 6103 and American Legion Post 89. Friends called one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday.
