William "Bill" G. Caldwell of Fort Gay

William “Bill” G. Caldwell, 77, of Fort Gay, W.Va., passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1934 in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Keither and Ruthie Mae Caldwell. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Denvil Caldwell and Ervin Caldwell; and five sisters, Thelma Caldwell, Barbra Caldwell, Sarah Ann Caldwell Whitt, Dora Nelson, and Frankie Nelson. Survivors include the mother of four of his children, Esta Marie Caldwell of Genoa, W.Va.; two sons, William App Caldwell and his wife Cheryl of Genoa, and Roy Caldwell of Wayne, W.Va.; two daughters, Debbie Moore and her husband Darrel of Wayne, and Patty Stapleton and her husband Rick of East Lynn, W.Va.; and two other sons, Billy and Dale of unknown location. He is also survived by two brothers, Sammie K. Caldwell and his wife Shirley of Poca, W.Va., and Dewey Keither “Pedro” Caldwell of Ohio; two sisters, Ada Coburn and her husband Brady of Kiahsville, W.Va., and Mae Dalymple of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Elder Charles Lucas Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Greasy Ridge Cemetery, Dunlow, W.Va. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
