Lillie Mae Lovins of Fort Gay
Lillie Mae Lovins, 60, of Fort Gay went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at King’s Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born December 9, 1951 and the oldest daughter of the late Emery and Viola Tackett Cyrus of Fort Gay, WVa. Mae was a homemaker and a member of the Upper Tabors Creek Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Lovins Sr. Survivors include her son, Donald Lovins Jr., of Iowa; an Uncle Kennis Tackett of Toler, KY; four sisters: Linda Elliott, Lurline Smith, and Margaret Meade all of Fort Gay, WVa., and Oakie Pickleseimer of Fort Collins, Colorado; three brothers: Delbert Cyrus, Pharon “Bud” Cyrus, both of Fort Gay, WVa.; and Vinson Cyrus of Belfry, KY. Mae was blessed with many precious nieces and nephews including Karen Sue Cyrus and Jennifer Lynn Cyrus of Fort Gay, WVa. whom she held dear to her heart. Special thanks to her caretaker and friend Hattie Kitts Marcum of Fort Gay, WVa. for her services.
Visitation was after 11:00 am Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Oak Grove Church in Fort Gay. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 am by Rev. Tommy Kitts and Rev. Casey Cyrus on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Oak Grove Church with burial following at the Cyrus Family Cemetery on Meeting House Branch Road in Fort Gay The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Young’s Funeral Home in Louisa, KY in memory of Mae Lovins and a special “Thank You,” to everyone for their prayers, kind words and gestures. As Mae would always say, “I love you!” with a BIG hug
