Christopher Spencer of Huntington
Christopher Spencer, 59, of Huntington, WV, died May 7, 2012 at his home. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 by The Rev. James H. Morgan at Trinity Episcopal Church. Chris was born August 4, 1952 in Huntington, son of the late Walter and Betty Lovett Spencer. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Rena Spencer. Chris was a graduate of Huntington High School and Marshall University. He was a free lance photographer for The Wayne County News, the Herald Dispatch, Marshall University as well as numerous other private contracts. The highlight of his career was the winning touchdown photo for the M.U. and Xavier game which was used in the We Are Marshall movie. He is survived by three cousins, Tim Lovett of Louisville, KY, Peggy Jarrell and Nancy Lovett both of Huntington; other relatives, Roger Lovett, Melissa Altizer, Frances Huddleston and family and Martha Fritz and family.
