Hazel Lycan of Fort Gay

Hazel Lycan, 92, of Fort Gay, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 26th following a long illness. Hazel was born August 31, 1918 in Carter County, KY, to the late John and Sara Conn Cline. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tabors Creek Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Milton S. Lycan. Survivors include 3 daughters, Carol and husband Norman Davis of Fort Gay, Linda Barnett of Charlotte, NC and Margaret and husband Jerry Clarke of Fort Gay, one son; Earl Bert and wife Anna Ruth Lycan of Fort Gay and one brother, Joe and wife Gayle Cline of Olive Hill, KY. Hazel was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Tim Preston on Monday, at 11 a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home.
