Carmal Castle formerly of Lowmansville
World War II and Vietnam veteran Carmal Castle 87, formerly of Lowmansville, KY. Passed away Saturday morning, October 8, 2011 at the North Hardin Rehabilitation Center in Hardin County, KY. Carmal, son of the late Herbert Castle and the late Virgie Grim Castle was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Alice Eskew Castle; two brothers, James Castle and Herbert Castle, Jr. and one sister, Herma Lee Pack. Carmal is survived by one sister, Mary Ruth Tackett of Paintsville, KY., three children, Glenda Brangers of Elizabethtown, KY, Pat Gillette and husband of Warner-Robbins, GA, and Joe Castle and wife Nancy of Paintsville, KY; Six grandchildren Chris Brangers, Tracy Gibson, Brian Young, Casey Castle, Carrie Lafferty, and Catherine Castle. Also surviving are 14 great grandchildren and serveral nieces and nephews. Rev. Terry Conley were conducted funeral services on Tuesday Oct. 11th at 11 am at Wilson Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Golden Oaks Cemetery Ashland, KY with military rites conducted by members of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers include Casey Castle, Brian Young, Chris Brangers, David Gibson, Ethan Lafferty and Dylan Young.
