Pansy J. Adkins Tabor of Dunlow
Pansy J. Adkins Tabor, wife and companion of Danny Tabor of Dunlow, W.Va. went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 25, 2011. She was born September 26, 1936 in Logan County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Elva and Wetzel Adkins. One daughter, Avenell Harvey also preceded her in death, along with two sisters, Shirley Adkins of Kenova, W.Va., and Christine Lambert of Brush Creek; and three brothers, Tester Adkins of Wayne, Mitchell Adkins, and Delmar Adkins of Ranger. Survivors include her husband of 16 years Danny Tabor, who loved her very much; three sisters, Kesslene Prolow and husband Ed of Milton, W.Va., Marie Burress of West Hamlin, and Norma June McCoy of Kenova; two brothers, Walter Adkins of Kenova, and James L. Adkins and wife Linda of Wayne; two sons, Walter Adkins Jr., and Donald Ray Adkins, both of Dunlow; very special daughter, Linda Pearl Adkins of Dunlow, who helped take care of her. Also surviving are three stepsons, David Lynn Tabor, Paul Ray Tabor, and Duane Edward Tabor; one step-granddaughter, Jasimine Danielle Tabor, all of Wayne; good friend Frances Tabor of Wayne; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Tabor of Big Creek, and Carlton Ray Tabor and his wife Betty of Garrett’s Creek; special friends Sara and Roy Matthew of Dunlow; Kathey and Charlie Adkins of Dunlow, and Brandy Anderson and her daughter Gebby. Pansy was of Pentecostal faith and a member of Milton Highlawn Church of God, the members of which were so generous during her time of need. She loved her Lord and Savior as well as all her friends and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her family. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
