James Myron “Foxy” LaFollette of Huntington
James Myron “Foxy” LaFollette, 76 of Huntington, WV died unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Jim was born July 11, 1935 in Byesville, Ohio a son of the late Earl and Fay E. Larrick LaFollette. He was a retired employee of the Army Corps of Engineers, having worked in real estate acquisitions. His memberships included the Elks Lodge # 350 in Ashland, Kentucky ( a thirty year member); El Hasa Shriners of Ashland, Kentucky; Crescent Lodge #32 AF & AM- Ceredo, West Virginia and the American Legion Post #93 of Kenova, West Virginia. In addition, he was a long time NASCAR Fan. Those that survive him include one daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann and Bill Joseph of Dublin, Ohio; one son and daughter-in-law James and Mary LaFollette of Springfield, Ohio; five grandchildren: Paul (Marie) Chapman, Kelly (Charles) Jakeway all of Columbus, Ohio; Jennifer (Jeff) Hall of Springfield, Ohio; Erich (Betsy) Joseph, and Patrick (Stephanie) Joseph, also all of Columbus, Ohio, as well as eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his significant other of many years, Lona Kemmerling of Columbus, Ohio and his great friend and longtime neighbor Bill Howard of Huntington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital for Burns, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229-3095. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. -6 :00 p.m. Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, WV. There will be no funeral service.
